# Omnichannel OMS

> OTO's order management system: how orders from every channel are collected, corrected, routed to the right location and released to fulfillment.

> **Where to find it:** Main → Shipping → Shipments — [Open in OTO ↗](https://app.tryoto.com/shipments)

Omnichannel OMS is where an order lands, gets cleaned up, gets assigned to the right place to ship from, and gets released to fulfillment. It is the module every other module depends on.

## The problem it solves

A merchant selling across a website, two marketplaces and eleven stores does not have an order problem — they have an *allocation* problem. The same SKU sits in several places, the customer's address is half-written, and whoever picks the wrong warehouse pays for it in a failed delivery three days later.

Omnichannel OMS takes every order from every channel, corrects the data, decides where it should be fulfilled from, and hands a clean, routable order to Shipping Management or OTO FLEX.

An order passes through five functions before it is releasable. Routing is the decision point — everything before it exists to make that decision reliable.

## Who runs it

| Role | What they do here |
| - | - |
| **Operations manager** | Writes the routing and prefulfillment rules, and tunes them when delivery performance shifts. |
| **Store or warehouse staff** | Work the released orders — pick, pack, hold, split. |
| **Customer service** | Edit orders before pickup, put orders on hold, reassign to another location. |
| **Developer** | Pushes orders in through the API and reads status back out through webhooks. |
